Mercedes-Benz EuroTraining 2012: “Inspired for a new generation”—dan pearlman worked closely with the event agency Stagg & Friends to realize all aspects of the event architecture for Mercedes-Benz from the design to the logo, to visual communications and the overall communications concept: forward-thinking, target-oriented and vibrant.

A for Attack. A as in A-Class. With EuroTraining 2012, Mercedes-Benz set a clear course for success for sales of the A-Class and other product innovations, and, by depicting new target audiences, gave its sales division enormous potential to take over the New Generation Compact Cars segment. From June to August 2012 at an extraordinary training location in Berlin, the company brought together an impassioned brand experience and idea-packed sessions in order to educate its sales division on the new A-Class and five other product lines, including the new CLS Shooting Brake. Designed as an informational city outing, the event focused on how to communicate the introduction of the new A-Class to markets.

Jury Statement:

The perfect training setup, a highly innovative approach and thoroughly integrated tablet applications made this sales division training an employee event fulfilling the Mercedes brand promise 110%. Designed as an informational Berlin city outing, the setup masterfully augmented the brand communication of the A-Class. An employee event “inspired by a new generation.”

Nicole Srock.Stanley, CEO dan pearlman Brand Architecture, is going to participate at the panel of the Turkish shopping center operators in Berlin, March 6^th, 2013. Within the framework of the 5^th AVM Shopping Center & Investor Conference in Istanbul, there will be topics discussed such as trends and tricks concerning successful shopping mall formats.

At Bread & Butter’s latest winter edition with its motto “Big Time”, the Campus booth welcomed their visitors on the former airport Berlin-Tempelhof, January 18 – 20. For the clothing line of the fashion label Marc O’Polo, on 270 sqm dan pearlman arouse a sense of the best times in someone’s life: their student life.

Dark woods, DIY objects and classic assecories in a student flat, reaching from piles of books to vintage furniture up to a racing bike, stressed the importance to address Campus’ target group. According to Marc O’Polo’s management, the booth welcomed about 800 more visitors than last year. A great success for the Swedish fashion company.

Since 2001, the “Retail Days” is one of the largest fairs of its area, combining the “International Istanbul Retail Conference” and the “Istanbul Retail Fair”. Between the 28th and 29th of November 2012, the Lütfi Kirdar Convention and Exhibition Center in Istanbul will become the center point of retail, of its trends and opportunities.

On the 21st of August 2012, the doors of the children’s clinic ‘Burg Lino’ opened for the first time. ‘Burg Lino’ stands for the psychiatric children’s clinic in the clinic-town Cilienia, Littenheid, in the North of Switzerland. This area belongs to the leading psychiatric clinics in the German-speaking Switzerland and the beauty is, it does not even resemble a clinic. With ‘Burg Lino’, dan pearlman, in corporation with the patients, doctors, nurses, pedagogues and the administration of the Cilenia private-clinic, Littenheid, has established a concept, which promotes the sustaining recovery of the children and adolescents, offering them a comfortable short-term home for their stay. Dieter Rung, the initiator of the project is especially proud. Together with Van Bo Le-Mentzel, he introduced the story of ‘Burg Lino’ to the guests.

The intensive corporation, lasting over several months, did not only lead to an architectural concept, assembling colors, shapes, materials, sketches or furniture. Foremost, it established an integrated story, which roots deep into the history of the clinic-town Littenheid and branches out towards the needs of the young as well as old patients, and their different disease patterns.

Discussions, workshops, ideas, designs, concepts and the construction – from the first day of the corporation between the Cilenia private clinic Littenheid and dan pearlman, onwards, through until today, the opening-day – dan pearlman has always followed a wholehearted goal with the clinic ‘Burg Lino’: to support the tremendous achievements of the doctors, nurses and pedagogues of the Clienia private-clinic Littenheid, with enthusiasm and passion, so that the future young patients of Littenheid can be aided even more successfully.

On October 18th, Nicole Srock.Stanley will hold a lecture in the context of the ‘Retail Design Conference 2012-Friends of Point of Sale’.

Since 10 years now, the German Design Council has been hosting its conference series for Brand Architecture. Experts from firms and agencies will offer insight into their strategies for customer loyalty, present new retail design concepts and put current developments up for discussion.

Together with Martina Fecke, head of the interior design branch of the shopping center operating agency mfi, Nicole Srock.Stanley will exemplify how to make Retail Friends and why shopping and shopping centers will remain popular, by presenting case studies.

The event, held in Frankfurt am Main, is especially directed towards executives, marketing- and sales directors from firms, businesses and agencies, as well as architects, interior designers and designers.

Which mega-trends will influence our shopping behavior in the future and how will this affect the shopping centers? This question is constantly in the minds of the retail specialists of dan pearlman.

On the 9th of May 2012, Nicole Srock.Stanley held a lecture at the Commercial Estate Congress in Wiesbaden, concerning this subject. Competent support was given by Martina Fecke, mifi, as mifi and dan pearlman are currently working on formats for shopping centers of the future.

Together, both of them will also talk at the 1st International Multi-Sensory Congress on the 4th and 5th of September 2012 in Wiesbaden. The theme for this lecture is “The Holistic Custom Experience”.

On the 18th of October 2012, the proved duo will lecture at the Retail Design Conference of the German Design Council in Frankfurt am Main, about “Shopping Center 3.0: Which innovations make future friends”.

The name is the concept of this still growing business. The Store of Good Deeds impressed the HDE jury with its enthusiasm, feasibility and sense of purpose.

The German Retail Federation (HDE) named the concept store, which was started in November 2010, as “Store of the Year 2011.” The non-profit organization with floor space at Berlin Forum Steglitz elevates the theme of corporate social responsibility to a business principle and forges new paths in its daily operations.

Turkey is pushing the pace: its optimistic spirit, internationality and the shift from a manufacturing to a service industry society have also informed dan pearlman’s new view of Turkey. Turkish brands are the newest agency darlings. dan pearlman considers Turkey one of the most important growth markets and has opened a new outpost for Turkey and the Arab market. dan pearlman was nominated by the German Design Council for the 2012 German Design Award for their project Carpet Concept.

The German Design Award is a design competition organized for the first time by the German Design Council. Only design products that have already won a national or international design prize are considered for the award.

The tradeshow concept that dan pearlman developed for CarpetConcept for the FURNITURE FAIR 2010 in Stockholm and the ORGATECT 2010 in Cologne already won the “reddot design award 2010” and is now nominated for the 2012 German Design Award.

At the beginning of September Design Offices moved into a 1,500 square meter space in the Highlight Towers Ensemble at Parkstadt Schwabing in Munich. The innovative business centre now also offers in Munich the new working environments Design Office is known for, featuring “flexible offices” and well-conceived conference rooms.

The contemporary concept is especially well suited to the architecture of the Highlight Towers, whose transparent glass and steel design is a visible symbol of modern Munich. Completed in 2004, the Towers were designed by architect Helmut Jahn.

Design Offices’ innovative concept appeals to professionals who prefer attractive working environments, and has already proven highly popular in Cologne and Nuremburg. Design Offices also has plans to bring its replicable concept to other high-volume German cities in the near future, giving working nomads another reason to rejoice.

Experience soccer at its best. The Arabic desert state Qatar was one of the candidates, submitting an application for hosting of the soccer world championship in 2022.

In order to impress the FIFA team successfully on their journey through the seven countries applying, dan pearlman created a fascinating soccer experience in cooperation with the Atkon AG in the capital city Doha.

How is it possible to explain the Emir of Qatar and its advisors, the results of an eight-month study for a transport system of the future in just sixty minutes?

For the German lead agency Atkon we developed the brand world “Qatar Railways” in the desert of Qatar in a 1,300 square meter production space. Within three months proposals for a corporate identity and design concept, including ideas for the branding of trains and uniforms for service personnel werde developed.

On October 26, 2010, Petra Florin, POS manager at Street One, and Volker Katschinski, Retail Unit Creative Director at dan pearlman, will give a talk at the “STORES 2010” convention in Berlin. The theme of their presentation “Shopping Worlds of Tomorrow: Branding Stores—Storing Brands”, addresses the future of stores, which, as a result of the digitalization of our daily life, are transformed into brand worlds and thus form the focal point of emotional market experiences.
